The Opportunity - About the Role
You'll sit within a high-performing and engaged Research team embedded within Group Investments. The team plays a pivotal role in building Stockland's reputation as a market leading, research led organisation and has a broad remit across core and alternative real estate sectors. You'll be instrumental in utilising advanced data driven methods to transform vast volumes of data into valuable insights that inform strategic decision making.
The role is responsible for extracting, transforming, dissecting and critically analysing data to draw meaningful insights and contribute to strategic recommendations across acquisitions, developments and investments. You'll harness an expansive set of public and proprietary data to innovate, pioneer and drive automation and tailored data driven solutions. The role provides exposure to an array of strategic research projects, underpinned by an overriding objective to inform optimal development and investment outcomes and returns.

Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Consolidate, extract, manipulate and analyse large data sets often within geographical parameters.
- Employ advanced data management, statistical and analytical tools to uncover key trends and provide actionable insights.
- Develop data powered solutions to business and forecasting questions.
- Identify opportunities to leverage data for predictive analytics.
- Present findings in a simple and actionable way.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in data extraction, manipulation, analysis, and interpretation.
- Tertiary degree or equivalent in a related field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, analytics or economics.
- A creative problem solver with ability to understand business problems and apply an appropriate methodology for investigation.
- Advanced capabilities in data management and statistical languages such as SQL, R, Power BI, and/ or Python.
- Ability to interrogate data outcomes with commercial acumen.
- Excellent written communication skills to convey analytical findings.
- Familiarity with real estate markets and GIS are a plus.
