Data Engineer/ Bi Developer

Searching for a Data Engineer/BI Developer with strong experience in SAP BW/HANA and Databricks who can deliver high quality data models and pipelines for reporting/dashboards, and data visualisation.

You will be joining our Business Intelligence team of passionate, creative Developers who play a critical role in delivering fast and reliable data insights to the business.

• Building great relationships with business stakeholder to deliver key business initiatives through translating business needs into reusable reports, dashboards, and insightful visualizations.
• Working closely with stakeholders to convert business requirements into creative solution designs.
• Using your strong Databricks/ SAP BW/HANA technical skills to provide end-to-end solutions including data extraction, data transformation, reporting and planning.
• Administration of Databricks/ SAP BW/HANA environment, including troubleshooting, housekeeping, system monitoring and upgrades.
• Playing a coaching role in the team, supporting junior team members to build their capability and QA their work against both development standard and corporate design template.
• Working with our Analytics Centre of Excellence to drive data literacy in the business and support all functions to leverage the insights for better decision making.

You will bring with you a rich understanding of SAP HANA and Databricks and the experience in providing reliable data models to support critical business projects and initiatives. Other experience we are looking for is:

• Senior Data Engineer with 5 years + experience is essential.
• Strong BW/HANA experience is a must.
• BW related ABAP & SQL is highly regarded.
• Databricks experience with Python/spark SQL skills highly regarded.
• Experience with Tableau is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience driving project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
• Critical thinking, ability to ‘connect the dots' and see the big picture.
