Data Visualisation & Business Insights Consultant – Salary starting from £27,000
Location – Perth
If you love finding patterns and meaning in data, and expressing them in creative and compelling ways, you might be a great fit for a Data Visualisation role. Working in the Data Visualisation team within Commercial BI, you will have a passion for both art and science and be able to balance the technical and aesthetic aspects of your work. You will be comfortable with learning new tools and techniques and have good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with other data professionals and stakeholders. You will also be motivated by the challenge and opportunity of transforming data into insights that can inform and inspire action.
A bit about the job:
In Commercial BI we are continually reviewing processes to identify areas for improvement an innovation. As a member of the Data Visualisation team, you will help support the Commercial Business by delivering accurate regular reporting, working with stakeholders to define data requirements, and responding to ad-hoc requests. Additionally, you will:
Design, build and maintain a strategic suite of self-serve Qlik dashboards, adhering to Commercial BI design principles.
Collaborate with stakeholders and colleagues to understand problems and plan for future projects.
Drive success through highlighting areas of improvement in existing processes.
Document new and existing processes in a clear and concise manner, so that they can be easily followed by other team members.
Stay up to date with Data Visualisation best practices.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
An analytical mindset with curiosity and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of one or more coding languages and tools such as SQL, Python, R.
Experience, or an interest in, Data Visualisation using BI tools such as Qlik, Power BI, or Tableau.
Effective communication and presentation skills, and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, the wider BI team, and Aviva colleagues throughout the business.
Ability to identify requirements, seek out support and guidance when needed, and organise workflow and documentation in a clear and consistent manner.

Starting Salary £27,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
Bonus opportunity - 8% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
