Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, monitor, configure, upgrade, and install Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Perform regular database backups to ensure data recovery capabilities.
- Maintain optimal performance and availability of program databases.
- Develop and maintain database procedures and documentation.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Performance Management and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Manage multiple concurrent tasks, prioritise effectively, and mitigate risks.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Mentor and guide team members and stakeholders as necessary.
- Troubleshoot Database Replication issues.
- Implement changes to databases to accommodate new information requirements.
- Evaluate and develop Data Analysis models and procedures.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience as a Database Administrator.
- Proficiency in SQL Server performance features, including In-Memory OLTP.
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and developing Data Analysis models and procedures.
- Experience in delivering services within a Commonwealth Government environment.
- Extensive experience in developing documentation for development teams.
- Familiarity with Reporting Tools such as Cognos 10 / Cognos 11 (desirable, but not essential)
