Seeking an experienced Database Administrator to assist with management and administration of ICT databases.
Your new company

This is done by developing, maintaining and promoting statistical information standards for the health, community services and housing assistance sectors. As well as modernising the presentation and availability of national health and welfare products to meet the needs of diverse audiences such as state, territory and federal government agencies, universities, research centres, and non-government organisations.
Your new role
As the Database Administrator, you will be joining an ICT group that delivers the infrastructure, systems and services that support other areas of the business in the discharge of their statistics and information responsibilities. As the successful applicant will assist with the management and administration of ICT databases in an integrated environment, including associated networks, peripherals, data storage, archive and backup.
You will be be responsible for:
- Work as part of a small team to provide a high-quality client focused ICT environment and deliver against the ICT Strategy
- Administer and maintain the corporate SQL infrastructure, including daily monitoring, troubleshooting and performance analysis.
- Support the installation, configuration, security, user authentication and maintenance of all SQL servers, equipment, and software related to SQL infrastructure as required.
- Support and maintain corporate database systems and associated software, including monitoring, backup and recovery services.
- Provide support and back up to other areas such as SharePoint administration.
- Plan and execute SQL patching and upgrades.
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated experience and ability in:
- SQL Database Administration.
- Windows operating environments,
- Providing automated reporting.
- Maintaining clear and up-tp-date system and software documentation, and procedures.
- Assisting with ICT infrastructure projects, support and upgrades as required.
It will be desirable to have experience with Veeam Backup, VMware, Active Directory and SharePoint.
