About the role

Aim:

The Donor Experience Team seeks to deliver positive engagement, recognition and experiences for donors, volunteers, patients and their families.

The Database Coordinator will support the team’s effective delivery of SCHF’s donor systems to ensure best practice in donor acquisition and stewardship, and supporter engagement. The role supports the Philanthropy, Engagement and Operations teams by providing data, insights and user support. In addition, they provide data administration in Salesforce, in the form of extractions, data cleansing, data uploads and assists with execution of fundraising through use of other systems such as ORTTO EMS and Funraisin CMS.

Key relationships:

Work with fundraising teams to provide timely data and analysis, donor prospecting lists and research, and to train and ensure adoption of our donor systems and tools. Support the SCHF finance team as required to ensure data integration across systems.

What you’ll be focusing on:

Donor Systems:

  • Support the team’s use of current technology to increase user adoption and provide greater analytics and reports.
  • Work with team to implement new releases and integrated apps to improve user experience of TED.
  • Monitor payment technologies, platforms and automated systems which offer easy ways for donors to give on-and-off-line and provide a seamless and positive experience with SCHF.
  • Provide support for fundraising events with efficient donor systems and on-site support to ensure seamless product delivery
  • Support the Digital Engagement and fundraising teams to integrate donor systems with SCHF websites
  • Support fundraising teams to distribute EDMs and other communications through the donor systems.

Data Quality:

  • Ensure best practices and high standards of quality, efficiency, security, and confidentiality around the handling of donor information.
  • Prepare reports and then extract data from Salesforce for fundraising campaigns and donor development communications including direct marketing appeals, telemarketing and other events and activities.
  • Complete data cleansing activities weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Assist with annual set up of CRM and CMS
  • Assist in duplicate management and resolution
  • Load any bulk data changes as required, including creating new Contacts, editing existing records and deleting old records, using tool such as Data Loader and Skyvia when required
  • Assist with loading of any external fundraising donor activity

Administration Support

  • Ensure regular communication of results and priorities through regular meetings, including WIPS and one-on-ones.
  • Provide support for all fundraising events (Gala’s)
  • Calendar and meeting coordination
  • Develop processes and systems to support the Donor Experience function, as required
  • Coordinating quotes, invoices, payments and budget tracking

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of, and experience with Salesforce is a must
  • Appropriate qualifications or relevant experience in database management
  • Demonstrated experience in a technology or data role, in a commercial or not-for-profit setting
  • Excellent attention to detail and thorough in reviewing work
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the demonstrated capacity to develop authentic relationships through optimising key relationships across extensive networks and contacts.
  • Knowledge of other platforms such as Ortto, Causeview, Funraisin is appreciated.
  • Proven ability to act collaboratively to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated high standards of integrity, ethics, data privacy, judgement and confidentiality.
