Are you passionate about helping others? Then come join the MyCommunity team at genU! We are looking for Disability Day Service Practitioner's to join our longstanding, purpose-driven, and values-based organisation to make a real different in people's lives!
The role will operate within genU's Community Participation division, which was established to facilitate innovative, client-centred programs with a focus on building skills that will assist in achieving our participant's goals!
As a Disability Day Services Practitioner (Mental Health )
You will have a strong understanding of mental health;
Support our clients achieve their personal goals through group and individual based supports;
You will be proactive in promoting community inclusion;
Facilitate group programs that encourage clients to build their independent living skills.
About YouWe are looking for caring and empathetic people. Our ideal Day Services Practitioner will:
- Be an effective communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills, particularly with an understanding, sensitivity and respect to participant's abilities, strengths and circumstances.
- Enjoy helping others achieve their goals and personal growth.
- Be an efficient organiser, able to maintain and update programs, file notes and documents as required.
- Have the flexibility to work across several sites within the region.
You will need the following:
- Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent;
- First Aid;
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain;
- Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain;
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
