Job description

About the role
This is a permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm position working 35 hours per week. This position is located at the Nowra Administration Building.

Duties
Reporting directly to the Supervisor – Water Revenue, the focus of this position is to:

  • Provide advice to Management and report on the status, progress, volume and nature of all outstanding debts (i.e. aged 90+ days).
  • Provide advice and support to members of Revenue Unit with regards to Debt Management (i.e., debts aged <90 days).
  • Facilitate all external Debt Recovery proceedings for Shoalhaven Water debtors and liaise with the mercantile recovery agency as required.
  • Monitor accounts referred and ensure monthly progress updates are completed.
  • Undertake internal Debt Recovery actions including, but not limited to:
    • Flow restriction
    • Legal notices
    • Formalise payment arrangements.
    • Monitoring of debts
  • Assist (where required) with the completion of tasks and functions within the Department to support the delivery of critical tasks in a timely manner.

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

  • TAFE Certificate 4 in Business, Administration or Finance or equivalent experience demonstrating an understanding of theory and processes.
  • Class C Driver’s Licence
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
