The RoleWe are currently seeking a Training Coordinatorfor a 10–12-month maternity leave cover (with the possibility of extension and or permanency) to join team our Defence Industries Intern Graduate scholarship (DIIGS) program. This role will suit an individual who is a well organised people-person, self-starter who is passionate about providing quality support for young people looking to forge a career in the Defence Industry. As a Training Coordinator, your role will include:
- Fostering and maintaining effective relationships with Defence Industry companies, universities and VET Coordinators.
- Work with host companies to ensure Graduates and Interns are getting appropriate work experience
- Speak with industry groups and community organisations to gain feedback
- Promotion of the DIIGS to potential host employers and the incentives available.
- Monitoring incentive progression of student and hosts
- Coordinate events, information sessions and attendance at career expos to promote program awareness.
- Coordinate recruitment and selection activities, induction and on-boarding processes.
- Provide ongoing mentoring and support to graduates and Interns to ensure successful completion of placements
- Liaising with universities to coordinate placement timings
- Working with DTWD, reporting on progression and KPI’s

Ability to travel is a mandatory requirement of the role.
