Closing Date: 11:30pm, Tuesday 02 July 2024About the OpportunityThe primary purpose of the Advocate/Guardian is to act as a Delegated Guardian for protected people under the principles of the Guardian and Administration Act 1993 (the Act). The Advocate/Guardian is to ensure that all decisions are made in accordance with section 5 principles within the Act, which guide the way in which decisions are made for protected people.About the BusinessThe Office of the Public Advocate is an independent statutory Office of the South Australian Government. The OPA exists to promote the rights and interests of people who may need assistance with decision-making and assist their family and friends.The Public Advocate promotes rights through delivery of services. Services includes provision of information, advocacy, dispute resolution, investigations, and being appointed guardian by the South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT) when no other order is appropriate.
