Form of workA vacancy exists for a reliable, energetic, and enthusiastic person to be part of our team delivering bulk freight and also smaller PUD freight from our East Devonport depot. To be considered for this position, it is essential to hold a valid MEDIUM RIGID manual licence with a good driving record, have a solid geographical knowledge of Devonport and surrounding areas, and be able to provide a National Police check. Holding a current forklift licence would be an advantage as would previous courier experience along with hands on experience operating barcode scanners, but not essential.
An immediate start for the right person is on offer.
Please note - holding a car licence only is not sufficient for this role. Do not apply if you do not hold a MR licence.
This position reports to the Devonport Depot Manager. You need to be fit and healthy and will be required to pass a pre-employment medical. As a Delivery Driver, you are the front line of our business, so being an effective communicator, being courteous and polite with customers as well as providing prompt service is vital to the success of this role.
