About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Driver to join our team based in Wynnum QLD on a full-time permanent basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and assisting with warehouse operations to ensure smooth department functioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading, transporting, dispatching and delivering items to clients in a safe and timely manner [Including interstate travel from time to time].
- Plan the delivery or pick up route to ensure economical use of time and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to time schedules.
- Review orders before and after dispatch / delivery to ensure that orders are complete.
- Ensure delivery confirmations from each customer.
- Provide excellent standard of customer service at all times.
- Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
- Ensure all documents relating to dispatch / deliveries are utilised.
- Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods.
- Fuel vehicles as needed and perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor.
- Assist with project deliveries & installations as required.
- When not actively engaged in deliveries assist with warehouse functions such as pick, pack etc.
- Assist with ad hoc duties as required.
Skills/Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver.
- Warehouse operations experience.
- Familiarity with warehouse systems and practices.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Dependable, reliable, punctual with excellent personal presentation.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Full Driver’s license.
- MR Driver’s license.
- Valid forklift license.
