As our Delivery Launch Director for our Major Projects group, you will:

  • This position will be based in Brisbane, Queensland with relocation assistance provided
  • Be responsible for the successful development of large infrastructure projects

With a view to further develop an engaged, innovative and sustainable business, we are now seeking an experienced Delivery Launch Director to join Major Projects and lead the successful development of large-scale infrastructure projects for Powerlink.

Reporting directly to the General Manager of Major Projects, you will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive Cradle to Grave Project delivery development strategy, engaging with multidisciplinary teams encompassing various fields internal to the organisation and external stakeholders.

Leading a diverse team, you will oversee the strategic development of large scale infrastructure projects aligned with business strategies and objectives.

Your role will entail the meticulous planning and development of large major projects at enterprise level to a level of maturity where the projects can be handed over the project execution team. 
 

What you'll bring

Professional qualifications will be complemented by your high level of personal drive, resilience, and commitment to deliver. You will possess substantial experience engaging with senior management-level stakeholders and customers both upstream and downstream, thriving in high-pressure commercial environments.

Your responsibilities will encompass maintaining exceptional relationships with stakeholders, customers, and representative bodies, ensuring a proactive approach to risk mitigation and communication strategies to maintain an acceptable delivery risk profile for projects.

Your leadership and strategic direction will align closely with our organisation's objectives, establishing and maintaining the Project governance framework while ensuring sound contracting methodologies for optimal commercial outcomes within specified quality standards, budget, and timeframes.

With demonstrated industry experience (linear infrastructure experience preferred), you will also possess:

  • A Degree-level qualification in management, project management, or related fields coupled with substantial demonstrated experience in project development and delivery.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in management or demonstrated project leadership experience would be advantageous, alongside Reg PM Accreditation CPPD or CPPE.
