The Role

Reporting to the Head of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) the role of the Demand Planning Manager is to lead and facilitate Demand Planning activities across assigned sales channels in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.  This is a key role within the business, and we are seeking an experienced and professional candidate to bring insight, innovation and inspiration to the business, whilst delivering high quality outcomes in a fast paced and results driven environment.

The scope of the role includes, but is not limited to:

  • Maintaining and refining statistical models in our Demand Planning tool (Blueshift), incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from internal & external sources.
  • Reviewing historical sales trends, analysing demand drivers, monitoring demand assumptions and tracking risks & opportunities
  • Take full ownership of account reviews and the demand review process, a core component of the IBP cycle. By leading these reviews, the Demand Planning Manager ensures that all relevant stakeholders are aligned, facilitating a comprehensive understanding of market demands, customer expectations, and supply capabilities.
  • Lead the charge in maintaining and improving service levels across the business. This encompasses the implementation of strategies to achieve and exceed service metrics, such as On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery, ensuring that our products reach customers efficiently and swiftly and managing the relationship with Sales and Commercial stakeholders to communicate to customers swiftly in case there are any challenges with Supply, all whilst working with supply for issue resolution and/or alternative actions.
  • Identifying and leading the continuous improvement of demand management practices and processes for the business
The Person

To be successful in the role you will have demonstrated experience (at least 3 years) in a similar role, preferably within the FMCG industry.  You will be Degree qualified in a Business, Engineering or Science discipline and preferably an external Supply Chain qualification (APICS or similar). You will have experience working with integrated Demand Planning software and ERP systems.  You will have a know-how and application of S&OP/IBP planning practices and processes and have proven stakeholder management skills at all levels along with proven track of people management.  You will have strong communication skills, be analytically minded and a methodical problem solver.  An adaptable working style, strong time management skills and the willingness to contribute and lead a high performing team is crucial.  To join our team, you will have an irresistible attitude and mindset with a collaborative approach to hitting key business objectives.
