THE ROLE
Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the Demand and Scheduling Planner plays a pivotal role in providing the interface between all manufacturing areas at Five am to plan the generation of a product range. Your key focus will be to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and provide the Five:am team with a production plan consistent with the sales forecast while optimising site performance. This role has a long term planning focus across production and inventory planning.
You will work with the different functions to ensure materials and labour are available to meet projected manufacturing requirements, control inventory levels and keep write offs to a minimum while importantly improving and maintaining DIFOT. The challenge within this position comes from the product short shelf life and production lead time.
This role will also assist with the supervision of the day shift teams to ensure production targets are met. This could also involve team training to assist in the development of skills, ensuring team members have the necessary skills and are competent for the role they are undertaking.
ABOUT YOU
This pivotal role is best suited to a highly motivated and experienced Master Production Scheduler with prior experience in a manufacturing environment that involves short shelf life products, preferably FMCG or dairy.
Your strong influencing skills, leadership potential and demonstrated analytical approach with sound business acumen will see you successful in this role.
Ideally the successful candidate will have:
•FMCG planning/scheduling with inventory management experience
•Experience using MRP or DRP related software
•Business Central (Microsoft Dynamics) experience
•Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
•Strong communication and problem solving skills
•Organised person that thrives in a structured environment
•Analytical ability with various platforms
•Strong influencing skills
•Tertiary qualifications will support your success in the role.
