Form of workWe are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing clinic at Burnside Dental Practice.
We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant, but happy to consider a trainee for the right candidate. We have a local patient base with well-established books and state of the art dental technology; our practice is a family run clinic and our practice principals have owned the clinic for over 15 years.
The applicant should be well versed on all aspects of dentistry and able to communicate well. We have a strong focus on teamwork, the applicant should have the capacity work collegially with all our providers, assistants and reception team.
Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high level assistance and support to our dental practitioners with a focus on high quality dentistry.
Your duties will include chairside assisting for our dentists, surgical setup/assisting, oral health therapists and hygienists, preparing patients, record keeping, stocking surgeries, infection control, CSSD and working closely with our dental practitioners to build positive patient relationships.
Our dentists perform all aspects of dentistry from general dentistry, root canal treatment, restorations, crown and bridge, Implant treatment, extractions and offer treatments under IV sedation at our conjoining facility Burnside Day Surgery.
Dental Assistant Requirements:
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or appropriate experience.
- Current First Aid
- Working with children check / Current police clearance.
- Sound knowledge of dental terminology and item numbers.
- Proficient in dental practice management software D4W
- Good telephone etiquette.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
