Tell me more...Provide a high standard of dental assisting skills and practice, both clinical and administrative, to dental clinicians in the treatment of clients working in a multi-disciplinary team in a variety of work areas including hospital, community health and school program settings throughout the Torres and Cape Oral Health work unit.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a high level of skill, capability and knowledge in all aspects of dental assisting, including infection control and clinical support for all relevant age groups.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multi-skilled team, to coordinate procedures and to develop a commitment to effective teamwork by team members.
- Well-developed level of communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate, negotiate and liaise with all level of staff and patients, manage conflict and to deal with sensitive and confidential issues appropriately.

Requirements for the role:
- Possession of a Queensland Dental Assistant's Proficiency Certificate III (TAFE) or equivalent is mandatory
- This position may require you to work outside of normal working hours as per departmental business requirements.
- This position requires the incumbent to operate a ‘C' Class Drivers Licence. An appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided before commencement of duty.
