We are currently recruiting for a experienced Dental Assistant to work in our Macquarie Street Dental practice.
About the business and the role
Our prestigious dental practice over looking the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens is seeking our next Dental Assistant superstar! We pride ourselves on being a fun, friendly, yet highly focused and motivated team that enjoys building the skills and capacity of all team members. We undertake cutting edge aesthetic and implant dentistry procedures as well as other
aspects of restorative dentistry, Invisalign, dentofacial aesthetic injections, dental hygiene and IV sedation procedures.
Out Dental Assistants are an intrinsic part of our patient's journey and should you join our team you will find yourself;
- 3D intra-oral scanning
- 3D printing
- Taking high quality digital photographs
- PRF/APRF techniques
- Treatment coordinating in tandem with our doctors and Practice Manager
Responsibilities
- Promote the practice to the highest standards in communication and presentation
- Communicating with patients any relevant information where appropriate regarding their proposed treatment and caring for/encouraging patients on their journey.
- Clinical set up/breakdown/infection control
- Sterilisation of instruments and equipment to appropriate standards
- Four-handed dentistry
- Assisting restorative procedures such as all-ceramic crown & bridge preparations, veneer preparations, composite resin restorations.
- Surgical chair side assisting for surgical procedures including single tooth through to full arch implant treatments, GBR and sinus grafting following appropriate training and experience.
- This job will also include supporting reception duties such as making/changing appointments and processing HICAPS/EFTPOS payments.
Skills and Experience
- Our ideal candidate will be a passionate team player who with the appropriate guidance, can develop to the highest standard of patient care and communication.
- Candidates will ideally have a minimum of 1 year full-time Dental Assistant experience but we are open to helping kick start the career of any motivated individuals wishing to apply.
- They will be able to take on responsibility and be accountable for their own work and show good organizational skills in both time management and their clinical duties.
- We require a fun-loving, bubbly, yet mature and hard working, confident clinical assistant with great interpersonal skills.
- Adequate computer literacy is required & ideally experience with Oasis Practice Management software.
