Dental Assistant (New Role)

WE ARE EXPANDING SO IN NEED OF A

DENTAL ASSISTANT- Full time 

(NO WORK FRI, SAT, SUN - Three day weekend!!)

iKids Paediatric Dental Care is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring qualified Dental Assistant to join our highly experienced and skilled team. 

The role will involve:

• Provide assistance to the dental operator, including the specialist, and dental therapists with all skills required of a chair side assistant;
• Provide scout nurse assistance general anaesthetic sessions at a peripheral day stay facility;
• Greet patients and prepare them for scheduled dental procedures;
• Preparation and maintenance of treatment rooms;
• Sterilisation procedures as per current infection control practices;
• Assists with clinical administrative duties, including the maintenance and re-stock of dental supplies;
• Assist with preparing of accounts: in accordance with the practice’s policies and procedures;
• Assist with scheduling appointments, maintaining detailed records of patient’s treatments and with preparation of accounts;

The successful candidate will require:

• A minimum of a Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent. 
• Current Working with Children Check card
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Well presented
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in dentistry is highly preferred including operating theatre experience however new graduates are encouraged to apply. 
• Enthusiasm, quick learner and a wonderful personality are the most important attributes we are looking for.

Current hours available include (but are not limited to):

Full-Time: 8am to 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday (Four days)

Wages are commensurate with experience.
