Form of workCareer Employment Group Inc is seeking applications for a Dental Assistant trainee to work with our valued Host Employer in Whyalla. This is a part-time position, requiring you to work 25-30 hours per week.
As part of this position, you will undertake a 12-month Training Contract where you will work with a supportive team to achieve the qualification.
Position Information
As a Dental Assistant trainee, you will assist a dentist, dental hygienist or dental therapist during oral health care procedures, to help maintain high standards of infection control and to assist with practice administration.
You may also undertake the following:
- Prepare for and assist with oral health care procedures.
- Assist with dental radiography.
- Assist with administration in dental practice.
- Participate in workplace health and safety.
Position Requirements
To be considered for this traineeship, the following is required:
- Highest attention to detail.
- The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to take direction, and learn new skills and techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to be flexible with working hours.
- Reception knowledge advantageous.
- Strong passion in dental sector.
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical, inclusive of drug & alcohol testing.
- Hold a current Driver’s Licence.
- Be punctual and have a good work ethic.
