About the role
This role is an exciting opportunity for providing chairside assistance to dental clinicians, and provides other support to the dental team including instrument reprocessing.
To be successful in this role you will meet the following criteria and have:
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent. Or relevant experience as a Dental
- Assistant together with capacity and willingness to complete Certificate III in Dental Assisting
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to relate well to adults, children and other health professionals
- Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment, showing motivation and willingness to acquire new skills
- Demonstrated computer literacy with capacity to effectively utilise electronic patient record and patient administration software packages
- Demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality at all times

OAMS is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation that has been successfully providing health and human services to the whole Orange community since 2005. The service started operations from Palmer Street in Orange with approximately 5 staff; 20 years later OAMS now has over 120 staff ranging from Transport Support, Community Connectors, Doctors, Nurses, Dentists, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, Wellbeing & Support Coordinators, Managers, Administrative and Compliance, Plan Managers, Case Managers and visiting specialist services.
