At Shellharbour City Dental we focus on providing friendly, compassionate and professional service. Our wonderful, appreciative patients entrust their care to us and we prioritise actively maintaining their dental health so they can be proud of their smile.

Nearby are gyms, a movie theatre, beaches (within 10 min) and much more! There’s Lake Illawarra, walking and cycling tracks, Minnamurra rainforest – and the area has a relaxed culture. The South Coast is a lovely part of the world and our team are thankful to be here and serve our community.
You will assist our dentists/hygienist to perform their roles efficiently, including by:
- preparing, cleaning and maintaining treatment rooms, equipment and instruments

The role you play is important and requires superb attention to detail. You need to be able to listen attentively and conscientiously follow instructions, with and without supervision. Experience answering phone calls and an aptitude for computers and typing will be advantageous to you, but your people skills & communication will set you apart. Your attitude, motivation and dedication are more important to us than your existing skillset.
At all times you will be characterised by:
- Being committed, reliable and always punctual/early
- Pride in your presentation (laundered & ironed uniform, neatly groomed) and maintaining excellentpersonal hygiene
- Behaving professionally – displaying integrity, initiative, respect & courtesy
- Excellent teamwork and cooperation with all your colleagues – willingly helping others
- Regarding the team’s and patient’s interests above your own
- Demonstrating tact and discretion; honouring patient confidentiality
- Clear and constructive communication with patients, team, partners and external parties
- Confident, friendly and welcoming interactions that highly esteem our practice
- Delivering amazing, uncompromising 7-star service
- Maintaining excellent standards and quality
Your efforts will be appreciated and recognised – and contribute not only to people’s dental health, but also their overall health (both are linked!).
In return we provide ongoing development & training and regular active maintenance for our team (to look after your dental health). Once a week we share taking turns to prepare morning tea (reimbursed by the practice) and we also celebrate each other’s birthdays.
We’d prefer someone who:
- will live nearby Shellharbour
- has full availability Mon – Sat
- is able to work 5 days, including earlier mornings or evenings as needed
