DENTAL RECEPTIONIST- PROFILE ORTHODONTICS

We are a busy specialist orthodontic practice with locations in Joondalup and Cottesloe. We are looking for a front desk receptionist to join our friendly and hardworking team.   The successful candidate will be required to be available to work at both locations but unless they choose the alternative, most shifts will be worked at our Joondalup rooms.

This position is offered on either a full time or part time basis.  Full time staff can work either a 4½ day week or a 9 day fortnight.  Part time employees will need to be available to work a minimum of 3 full days per week. 

Your key responsibilities: 

• Greeting patients and visitors face to face and over the phone in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintaining patient records, including bookings 
• Accounts & administration; taking payments using EFTPOS, HICAPS
• Ensuring that all patients, doctors and company related correspondence is scanned or redirected appropriately
• Work to a high standard consistent with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements
• Work independently and within a team in a supportive, positive and pleasant manner
• Multi-task, with accuracy, maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality and confidence to handle difficult situations
• Exceptional communication, attention to detail and customer service skills

The ideal candidate will have the following: 

• Ability to work as a team member
• Dental experience will be highly regarded but not essential if the candidate has experience in another fast paced industry
• An ability to pick up patient bookings software
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Demonstrated initiative, time-management and flexibility
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• High standard of presentation
• Excellent attention to detail
• Team player with ability to build rapport with patients, practitioners and employees.
• A professional attitude
• Absolute respect for confidentiality

Excellent remuneration structure well above Award for the right candidate.

Experience with orthodontics, general dental or other medical professional practices would be an advantage, but applications are also encouraged from experienced reception staff that are used to working in a fast paced environment with customer contact as a significant part of their role.
