Enough about us, more about the role!
This is a full-time, on-site role for an experienced Dental Technician - Ceramics who will be contributing to designing, fabricating, and repairing dental prosthetics such as dentures, crowns, and bridges. While working across all areas of the Dental Laboratory, this role will be primarily based in the Ceramics department. No two days are the same, however, a typical day would include:
- Working in the ceramics department in all facets of crown and bridge, preparing and constructing all types of crown and bridge prosthesis.
- Scanning and designing CAD appliances from simple to complex, operating 3 Shape software for all crown and bridge designs.
- Operating and maintaining 5 axis CNC milling machine.
- Layering of ceramics onto zirconia/metal substructures and stain/glaze on all restoration types to a high standard set by the management team.
- Working on and adjusting cases after try-in.
- Completing a volume of 4 to 5 laminated crowns per day or equivalent in stain/glaze per day.
- Work collaboratively with QC to ensure cases meet appropriate standards.
- Undertaking general laboratory duties.
