You will require the experience and technical proficiency to perform work on the manufacturing of made-to-order dental appliances for Australian dental practitioners from design to manufacture of finished product. Your primary field of work will be the design and manufacture of crown and bridge dental appliances with support roles in the manufacture of dentures, implants, splints and mouthguards.
SparxLab manufactures dental appliances using a range of in-house Computer Aided Software Design (CAD) and machinery such as a Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) milling and printing. You will consult with dentist clients and liaise with fellow in-house technicians to problem-solve and supply orders on time.
Your roles and responsibilities;
- Assess scope of work for each order from our dentist clients and coordinate planning and implementing of orders for in-house production.
- Discuss scope of orders with our dentist clients and troubleshoot challenges; liaise and discuss solutions to problems.
- Liaise with fellow technicians to assess specialised instructions for orders and discuss treatment solutions on a case-by-case basis.
- Utilise CAD software for the design of crowns and bridges, perform pouring of impressions, milling using CAM technology, fitting crowns and ID colouring them per order.
- Support fellow technicians in the overall crown and bridge team in all tasks and duties to ensure efficient and timely workflow. Support other technicians in other dental manufacturing areas on an as-needs basis.
- Manage production timelines and schedule of work orders so the production of appliances is delivered according to clients’ schedules.
- Expert level experience in the use of CAD software to utilise the maximum potential of the software for a seamless workflow.
- Capacity to troubleshoot cases and communicate clearly with dental clients and fellow technicians about specific requirements for the manufacture of each dental appliance.
- Capacity to independently produce a crown and bridge from start to finish using all the resources and tools provided.
- Experience in pouring of impressions, fitting of crowns and bridges, CAM milling, finishing process of crowns.
- Able to do all the above in acceptable timely fashion.
