Eastcoaster Tasmania at Orford, TAS 7190 is employing a well organised Departmental Manager to oversee Accommodation operations with a focus on Group bookings.
The Eastcoaster Tasmania is at the final stages of a 20 million dollar improvements program due for completion in August 2024.
Along with the Harrison Group Management team, you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the accommodation which includes 16 Villas, 9 Cabins and 48 motel rooms with a primary focus on ensuring all the guests needs are anticipated and exceeded. This hands-on, hardworking role actively contributes to the friendly welcoming Eastcoaster Tasmania hospitality culture.
You will be responsible for the daily satisfaction of guests using the accommodation venue facilities that include four function spaces, gym, games room, two swimming pools & Spa, BBQ, playground and squash court.
Group bookings are a solid part of the business and we are rapidly developing national recognition. This role will include ensuring all Eastcoaster Tasmania group booking conferences and events go off without a hitch. Group bookings are hosted in multiple function rooms at the Eastcoaster Tasmania including the Spring Bay & Terrace restaurants, three meeting rooms and the Ballroom. Group Bookings catering is managed by the Head Chef.

The ideal candidate:
Minimum 5 years experience in tourism-related industry management, leading teams and overseeing daily operations.
A personally motivated leader who displays hands-on operational skills, staff management skills and by nature enjoys customer interactions.
Strong leadership and sales skills with the ability to train, hold staff accountable for best practices and create long term benefits.
Problem solving skills are essential and the ability to make quick decisions based on business objectives.
Has the availability to work flexible days, weekends and holiday periods.
