Deployment Engineer

An initial 3-month contract for a Deployment Engineer at one of the reputed SA Government departments.

Your new company

This SA Government Department is based in the Adelaide CBD, and they are in the lookout for a Deployment Engineer to join their team.

Your new role

Reporting to the Desktop Support team lead, you will be involved in a deployment project this department is currently working on. You will be in charge of providing support with the deployment of new devices and providing general desktop support.

The core duties include the following:

• Physical deployment of laptops, desktops, monitors and peripherals into the department's business units throughout Greater Adelaide.
• Unboxing and handling of new hardware, including miscellaneous asset management tasks.
• Imaging new devices with standard SOE and assign/install pre-packaged and/or manually installed applications.
• Perform data backups and restores for users either manually or through automated processes.
• Provide support and guidance for end users upon receiving their new devices.
• Troubleshooting devices and peripherals that may encounter issues.

What you'll need to succeed

• Knowledge of computer and laptop, desktops and hardware
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of Office365 and Azure
• Prior experience with SOE and installing packaged applications
