About the role
We are seeking an experiencedDepot Manager to lead the recycling facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the recycling facility.
- Manage and lead a team, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards.
- Manage the facility's budget, including labour, equipment, and supply costs.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and community partners.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities.
- Implement process improvements and adopt innovative recycling technologies.
- Engage in community outreach and promote environmental sustainability.
- Prepare and maintain accurate operational reports and documentation.
Skills & Experience Required
- Past experience in a managerial role within a recycling or similar facility.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of recycling processes and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and control costs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software.
- Commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.
