Bishops Transport is a prominent, rapidly growing family-owned Transport Company, providing freight services in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Depot Manager living in Darwin who is eager to build upon their skill set and join a successful team.
The Role:
Operating from our Darwin Depot and reporting to the General Manager (located in Perth), the successful candidate will work closely with the Operations Manager (located in Perth) and other regional Site Managers to ensure that the highest quality service is offered to our customers in the safest and most cost-efficient way.
You will be responsible for the effective management of the business throughout Darwin, including local business development and financial and operational deliverables.
You will manage approximately 12 employees to optimise your equipment and available labour to both deliver and pickup freight to meet customer deadlines and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Expertise in loading and unloading trailers to legal requirements
- Understanding fatigue management
- Manage local driver fleet
- Manage linehaul driver fleet
- Maximise upfreight and backfreight loading capabilities
- Ensure that the appropriate policies, procedures, and organisation structures are in place
- Ensure that staff have the skills and training to work safely and efficiently
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Truck license preferred
- Forklift license preferred
- A great 'can do' attitude with customer service at the forefront of all interactions
Total remuneration is negotiable and competitive rates and conditions will be provided based on experience.
