An outstanding opportunity for a driven and outcome focused Executive to join a Shire situated in WA’s stunning Mid-West region!

Meekatharra is a golden prospect for anyone on their Mid-West outback adventure. It is a small town about 760 kilometres north of Perth, in the Mid-West region of WA, and is located on the Great Northern Highway and is a busy hub for supplies, government, emergency and medical services, cattle stations, remote indigenous communities, mining, prospecting and tourism.

This senior management position promises to be a challenging and rewarding role for the successful applicant. Reporting directly to the CEO, the ideal candidate will be required to take on a diverse range of responsibilities and the position provides management of the financial and administrative portfolio. This includes all aspects of financial services including supervision of external financial contractors, overseeing administrative services such as insurance management, records, customer service, governance functions, information technology/communication and human resources. The position also provides high level support to the CEO and when applicable to elected members.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills and display a strong presence in the community, where you will understand the challenges of living in a remote regional area, while still delivering on the Shires Vision, Strategic and Corporate Plans to ensure its continued success. Recent experience in a similar position will be well regarded and should be outlined in your Resume. This position is offered on a performance-based fixed term contract of between 3 to 5 years with a total remuneration package of $212,000 per annum. The package includes a base salary, superannuation, motor vehicle, housing, relocation costs, 5 weeks leave with professional development being strongly supported by the Shire.
