Our client is seeking to engage a Deputy Chief Financial Officer on a contract for 3 months, with 3 X 3 months extension option.
Primary Job Purpose:Monitor and report on financial results against departmental and administered budgets
Lead the preparation and dissemination of internal budgets, forecasting and costing activities
Prepare portfolio budget submissions (including CBMS), portfolio budget statements, estimate updates and other governments requests
Proactively engage and collaborate with senior management on financial and budget management, along with cultivating productive working relationship with external stakeholders
Under limited direction, prepare written papers for the Agency Executive, Audit and Risk Committee, Senate estimates and other external parties
Manage facilities services arrangements, including property management services and the coordination of associated activities
Assist the CFO to implement system change and other business improvement activities, including finance and accounting policies
Manage the performance and development of a small team by providing strategic direction, leadership, guidance and coaching
Contribute to the Agency's organisational strategy and culture
