Job description

  • Based in the Enterprise Partnerships unit at the City West campus
  • Full-time fixed term contract until 16 February 2027
  • Competitive salary plus 17% superannuation

About the Role
You will be responsible for the successful development, growth and ongoing management and coordination of UniSA's entrepreneurial start-up activities and start-up programs. You will be responsible for providing leadership to the strategic venture between the University of South Australia, industry and the Government of South Australia to support the start-up sector in South Australia (Innovation & Collaboration Centre).
By leveraging world class technology and UniSA's expertise in business growth, creative thinking, commercialisation and technology, the position oversees the lifecycle from idea generation to growth and expansion for students, University centres, businesses and industry, both internally to UniSA and externally.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Extensive experience working in the innovation, entrepreneurship and start-up ecosystem
  • High level strategic and problem-solving skills to enable the provision and application of insightful and innovative advice and recommendations to senior staff
  • Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the ability to connect and leverage relationships with people at all levels
  • Significant leadership in high level project management and building sound and productive relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in leading and managing a facility and/or coordinating a range of business processes coupled with experience in leadership and management of people in both a direct reporting line relationship and in matrixed environments
