Wood is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager, reporting to our Senior Finance Manager, to support our business in its growth trajectory. This role will see you develop strong business partnering relationships by working closely with the Senior Finance Manager and the broader local management and project teams.  Working as part of the local and global Finance team there is an ongoing requirement to ensure alignment of corporate and global strategies with local business requirements, providing financial analysis and guidance. 

In addition, Your Role will include, but not be limited to;

• Significant responsibility for the accurate and timely completion of monthly accounting and management reporting 
• A significant focus on managing the working capital cycle (billing, accounts receivable and DSO) and understanding and managing utilisation and margins
• A deep understanding of, and regular reporting of, the financial business performance to senior local management and global business lines
• Daily leadership, mentoring and coaching of our team, supporting individual career progressions
• Working closely with global shared service finance teams as part of delivering the end-to-end finance solution for the business
• Involvement with ongoing forecasting and budgeting of financial performance
• Engagement with project and commercial teams on post-contract reporting and reviews, including attending certain monthly project reviews 
• Continuous assessment of opportunities to drive improvements and efficiencies
• Building collaborative and cohesive working relationships across key stakeholders

This opportunity calls for someone who is ready for their next step in finance management and leadership. Someone who has a thorough grounding in management and financial accounting, experience with managing small teams and most aspects of the finance function but is looking for significant growth in their skills over the next 5 years.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager this opportunity will grow with you.  This will suit those who have experience working within the resources and project-based environment in Australia, ideally from an engineering or project management perspective and with an understanding of the EPCM contracting model.

Furthermore, you will be:

• A qualified CPA / CA with at least 10 years relevant experience
• Exposed to labour and utilisation of workforce management
• An experienced operator with ERP systems, ideally Oracle or similar
• Collaborative and agile in your working approach, understanding of key business and financial metrics in a dynamic business environment
