About New State School
Our New State School is being constructed for the growing area of Park Ridge (near Logan Reserve) and will open for Prep to Year 6 students in Term 1 2025.
The school will include an administration, FamilyLinQ hub, Early childhood education centre, classrooms information and resource centre, amenities, canteen, multi purpose hall, outdoor multi purpose courts, sports oval, playground, car parking and undercovered areas.
Our school will be a large primary school with a predicted enrolment of more than 1300 students and it will foster a sense of connection and belonging with a focus on collaboration with students as the core of all that we do.
Our staff will have a thorough understanding of the depth and breadth of the Australian Curriculum. We will be working in strong professional teams and be reflective of practice and support each other with a relentless focus on what is best for our students.
Through Universal Design for Learning as a framework we will create safe and inclusive learning environment, informed by learner strengths and abilities. Our staff will deliver the curriculum through using a range of pedagogical practices that engage students and allows all students to reach to their full potential.
With our state of the art facilities, we are able to incorporate and embed information and communication technologies (ICT) into daily practice within each classroom.
By implementing the Positive Behaviour for Learning Framework, we have a common language to support students.

About the Role
The Deputy Principal's will be required to provide instructional leadership capability around the Australian curriculum and support teachers to provide appropriate pedagogies for adjustments. The successful applicants will be required to have a skill set around a restorative and trauma informed approach to building a positive culture.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the Deputy Principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
