Deputy Principal Port Vila International School (Vanuatu)

Join the team at Port Vila International School (PVIS), an independent, coeducational school located in Port Vila, Vanuatu. We are currently seeking a Deputy Principal for an initial 2-year contract, with the possibility of extension. 

PVIS offers education from Early Education to Year 12, following the Early Years Learning Framework, the Australian Curriculum, and the SACE International. Our student population of approximately 420 reflects a diverse ni-Vanuatu and  international community. 

Eligibility: 

Applicants must:

• Hold current Teacher’s Registration or be eligible to be registered with an Australian, New Zealand or other equivalent Registration Board.
• Hold a Bachelor of Education or a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field plus a Post Graduate Diploma of Teaching or other relevant recognised teaching qualification. 
• Have strong experience in school senior leadership.
• Be able to obtain a Vanuatu Work Permit by passing a general health check and successfully pass a Police Check to the satisfaction of PVIS.   
• Demonstrate capacity to adapt to a multicultural environment

We are looking for an individual who is experienced in curriculum development and enthusiastic about applying the science of learning in practical, resourceful ways.
