About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, you will play an integral part within the Sales/Marketing Team, one that prides itself on providing a high level of customer service to major domestic builders and offers a wide range of market leading products.
This iconic business is looking for a bright, enthusiastic, and competent team player, one with the ability to introduce new products to our external builders and satellite products displays and have a natural flair/passion for Interior Design and is sales driven.
You will be responsible for and amongst other tasks.
- Servicing and maintaining all our external builders and their satellite product displays, by visiting builders and keeping displays up to date.
- Maintenance of all timber samples and visual maintenance of builder’s display area
- Launching new products
- Being accountable for a high level of customer service and attending to client showrooms for sales and colour enquiries
- Answering phone enquires for sales quotes and retail clients.
- Measuring and quoting jobs, as well as check measuring
- Keeping a stocktake of all marketing material.
This is a Permanent full time position working Tuesday- Saturday. A great blend of working from our head office in the northern suburbs as well as working at our client’s head office locations where you will guide our major builder’s clients through their timber flooring choices. To make things easy parking is provided at all locations.
Requirements/Skillset
To be successful in this role you will need to have an open mind and love variety as this job touches on 4 x key areas, sales, marketing, interior design and graphic design.
Great for a candidate who wants to launch their design, Sales and marketing career. To be successful you will need
- High level of computer skills in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and macOS to assist with marketing material.
- Knowledge of Interior Design, putting client colour concepts together
- Able to read working drawings.
- Sales focused with a proven track record.
- Ability to sell via upgrades – and be sales savvy!
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be extremely personable, being able to build rapport with all types of clientele.
- Passion and enthusiasm, with high levels of energy and drive
Knowledge/experience of the building industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
