Working in our Port Melbourne office, the focus of this role will see you work collaboratively with our Detailing team to support our clients and designers to develop, draw and contract premium renovation projects in a timely and stress-free manner. In addition you will also be responsible for finalizing the project quotation and scheduling the system back-end to ensure all product and build items are input correctly to ensure all ordering and trade allocation can be facilitated and purchase orders raised.

Your day to day will be filled with a great variety of tasks, some of which may include:

• Building trusted relationships with clients to add genuine value influencing decisions, guiding alternatives to plans and communicating the benefits.  Ongoing updates to clients to ensure they are always kept UpToDate at every stage of the process
• Work with the pre-operations team to review weekly targets, discuss construction details and escalating issues
• Manage your own job files and achievable milestones (set by your manager) for contract signing at building inspection, selection and pre-contract check stages
• Outsource drawings to obtain pricing for cabinetry, stone, steel, windows, and doors etc
• Be the technical expert to develop the design and ensuring a very high standard of customer service and technical delivery
• Apply construction code regulations around timber framing, windows, waterproofing, electrical, fire rating, acoustics, ventilation, and energy efficiency
• Coordination of building permits with the chosen building surveyor, external drafting / engineering, and facilities inspection
• 3D renders, working drawings and materials take off’s ready for purchasing

Attributes you will bring to the role will include attention to detail, advanced communication and problem-solving skills, goal focused, combined with a natural focus on customer service, time management and being able to multi-task. You will aspire to be a leader in a residential construction environment, a tertiary qualification in Architectural Drafting, Project or Construction Management (ideal) and experience using an ERP, preferably NetSuite.   

We are looking for a top of the class team member who can bring the following skills:

• Experience in Building Technical Details – Cabinetry, Building working drawings, REVIT, Enscape and CAD
• Open minded and investigative nature to refine process and seek continuous improvement
• Commercial acumen to underpin your natural technical ability
