Your opportunity at FIELD
Your workload will cover mechanical and structural design and drafting primarily for mining and heavy industry related services, including:

• dragline and shovel shutdowns and upgrade projects
• processing and bulk materials handling plant, including design upgrades and/or modifications to existing plant
• working with 3D LIDAR scanners, point cloud and LIDAR data.

We specialise in small to medium-sized projects and are not afraid to take on work that others might consider challenging or high risk. You'll get the satisfaction of taking diverse design and drafting projects from start to end while working with a tight-knit, like-minded team.
 
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:

• formal qualifications in design and drafting and/or engineering (Diploma/Associate Degree)
• at least 5 years mechanical/structural design and drafting experience
• a sound understanding of SolidWorks (essential), AutoCAD and other design software (an advantage)
• exposure to heavy industry (mining, minerals processing, bulk materials handling, power, ports)
• attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work on time.

We’d also love you to:

• Be confident in communicating with your colleagues and clients both in person and on-line. Your work mates will be spread across our offices in Brisbane, Mackay and Gladstone.
• Bring practical expertise and wisdom gained through your previous heavy industry, mining or construction experience.
