AddressWe are seeking a talented Design Engineer - Warehouse/Distribution Center with expertise in CAD and automation software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consulting, bringing innovative solutions to our clients' logistics challenges. This is a 6-month contract (day rate) with opportunity to go permanent for the right person. Open to Sydney and Melbourne based candidates, there will be travel involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop warehouse and distribution center layouts using CAD software.
- Integrate automation technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct site assessments and analyze data to inform design decisions.
- Prepare detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Provide consulting services to guide clients through project implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in warehouse and distribution center design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
- Knowledge of automation systems and software (WMS, PLC, robotics).
- Strong consulting background with excellent client-facing skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and create actionable designs.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
