Position Title: CNC Machinist and Design Assistant
Employment Type - Permanent Full Time
The CNC Machinist & Design Assistant is responsible for programming CNC milling, lathe, and router machines, assembling and testing ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) systems and subsystems, helping with managing the production of parts, and organizing the stores for parts.This role includes quality management, inventory management, ERP system setup and use, and additional tasks as required by the small team structure. The position also involves working on R&D projects and assisting in the design of parts for ROVs. There may be some electronics work required, and training for this will be provided.
1. CNC Programming and Operation
- Program and operate CNC milling, lathe, and router machines for precision part manufacturing.
- Maintain and calibrate CNC machines regularly.
2. Assembly and Testing of ROV Systems and Subsystems
3. Assisting in Production Management
4. Use Inventory and Stores Management
5. Maintain Quality Management
6. Operation of Resin 3D Printers
- Operate and maintain 3D printers for prototype and part production.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of 3D printed components.
7. Research and Development Assistance (R&D)
- Participate in R&D projects, providing technical expertise and innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with the R&D team on the development and improvement of ROV systems and subsystems.
8. Use of 3D Design Software (Fusion/360/Inventor preferred)
- Assist in the design and development of parts for ROV systems.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve design efficiency and functionality.
9. Basic Electronics Work (Training can be provided)
10. Ability to Self Manage Workplace
11. Additional Responsibilities:
