In this position, you'll spearhead the development, coordination, and documentation of detailed design and implementation plans for wayfinding signage and customer information across various projects and transport locations. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that the built environment is navigable and accessible for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive wayfinding site surveys, audits, and issue analysis in accordance with principles.
- Prepare meticulous design documentation packages, including detailed sign requests, message schedules, and location plans.
- Manage external design contractors to ensure compliance with requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborate with operational personnel, delivery teams, and stakeholders to ensure that planned wayfinding meets operational and customer needs.
- Present wayfinding plans to stakeholder groups and represent the Wayfinding Program at site visits and consultation forums.
- Provide support during implementation phases, including conducting site inspections and resolving issues.
- Effectively manage multiple work packages concurrently to meet deadlines
- Collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve consistent and effective wayfinding solutions.
- Adhering to guidelines and standards while applying wayfinding across diverse projects and locations.
- Delivering in high-profile, public locations while maintaining a flexible, results-oriented approach.
- Tertiary qualifications in information design, industrial design, graphic design, interior design, exhibitions design, urban design, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in information or industrial design, with a focus on wayfinding or signage systems.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite - specifically Design and Illustrator
- Competent in Microsoft Suite - specifically Word and Excel
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
