Design Subcontract Administrator

The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

Purpose of the Role:
Responsible for the establishment, placement, and management of the appropriate contract arrangements with designers across the project, through effective relationship and performance management, maximize value and minimize risk.
Qualifications:

• White Card
• Recognised tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (major in Geology preferred but not essential)

Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar based role on a project of similar size and complexity
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, AutoCAD, and Aconex or similar electronic transmission systems
• Experience in the management of and flow down of the suite of tendering and Contracting Templates, especially FIDIC
• Experience in the management of subcontractors, in particular design consultants

• The ability to guide and manage a team of Subcontract Administrators

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to contractual obligations through effective commercial management, including payments, claims, warranties, cash flow, and flow down of contract amendments
• Proactively manage the performance of design consultants, maintaining effective working relationships
• Identify and manage consultant risks and opportunities
• Provide input to upstream claims from a design consultant perspective
