Introducing the Team
We love the small-business mentality, where all core team members are involved in all aspects of the business, but at the same time have significant autonomy in their respective roles.
Saltair typically handles all aspects of a project; from Concept Design, Reports, Detailed Design, Building Approvals, Construction and Final Turnkey certification. The Designer / Draftsperson would be responsible for documenting our projects from concept through to construction.
The Role
- Working with our Sales Manager to document prospective projects
- Taking a standard design and adjusting to suit the client and the site requirements.
- Engaging and Co-ordinating site reports such as soil testing, wind classification, bushfire and effluent design.
- Understanding the site reports and working with the client to resolve design implications.
- Conducting the project showroom process with the client to review and finalize a projects Finishes, Fixtures and Equipment.
- Produce For Construction documentation that incorporates the clients changes and site report information.
- Submission and Co-ordinate the plumbing approvals
- Submission and Co-ordination of the projects Building Approval
- If required, liaise with Town planner for any set-back relaxations or development approvals
- Maintaining / updating Revit model to ensure design time efficiencies.
- Reviewing / updating Revit model to reduce construction related RFI's
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate;
- High level of professionalism and presentation
- High level of proficiency in Revit
- Passionate and self-driven: comfortable with deadlines
- High level of proficiency in Revert, this is mandatory
- Track record working with a project builder would be beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to resolve issues quickly and innovatively to ensure the project progresses as expected
- Experience in modular nice but not essential
