Southern Steel Supplies is looking for a Despatch Operations Clerk to join the team in Milperra.
This is a permanent full-time role that will see you provide support and assistance to the warehouse operation & despatch team with scheduling and despatch administration, ensuring that goods are moved, and customer delivery expectations are satisfied.
This is a very hands-on role and requires an enthusiastic person willing to assist in the warehouse as and when required, whilst assisting with:
- Daily despatch operation and coordination.
- Inwards Goods booking/planning to ensure smooth warehouse/Despatch Operations.
- Completing all relevant paperwork including inward, outward, and branch transfer paperwork, checking for errors, sending test certificates, and any other customer requirements.
- Checking stock and heat number recording when required.
- Liaising with sales/internal staff to ensure customer requirements are satisfied.
ABOUT YOU:
To be successful in the role, you will possess:
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or a similar role.
- Understanding of transport/despatch principles.
- Excellent communication skills and genuinely enjoy providing great customer service.
- Detail-oriented with good organisation skills.
- Solid experience using MS Office and warehouse/despatch software.
- Knowledge of Sydney area/geography.
- The ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
