ABOUT THE ROLE
The role of the Detailer at our Truss and Frame manufacturing plant will have a focused role in preparing accurate designs of timber components including frames, and trusses using engineered Pryda Build Design software. At times you will be required to liaise with engineers, site supervisors and customers to discuss job specifics. You will be interpreting architectural plans, engineering details, and ensure specific builder standards are met and any other relevant information provided is correct.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
- Accurate and timely detailing of truss and frame drawings prepped for manufacturing
- Technical support and advice for customers both current and potential
- Problem solve and resolve on-site issues, when required
- Detailing projects from the supplied drawings
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Ability to plan and organise and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Basic knowledge of residential construction and building processes
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to engage with both internal and external customers/builders/teams members
- Ability to stay focused and not be distracted in a manufacturing environment
- Basic CAD drafting skills and experience reading construction drawings (desirable)
- Previous estimating experience preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of building industry codes and products (desirable)
- Understanding of the relevant building codes and Australian Standards.
- Strong mathematical skills
- High problem solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
