Penfold Property Group is an expanding residential development team seeking an enthusiastic Development Cadet to assist with the day-to-day operations of the business. We are a small, professional, and friendly team, dedicated to providing housing solutions for owner occupiers across the Greater Brisbane and Logan regions.
About the Role
In this predominately site based role, you will assist the Development teams working across all aspects of the property lifecycle including procurement, development management and construction on our active projects. This entry level role is most suited to a candidate who may have recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Property Economics or Construction Management and are looking to develop their knowledge and career.
As a Development Cadet you will:
- Assist with the due diligence associated with property acquisitions
- Assist with the coordination of work via project engineers and consultants to ensure their scope of work is in line with the project budget, schedule, and development guidelines
- Assist with the preparation of project feasibilities and budgets for new and existing projects
- Review of detailed engineering and construction drawings
- Assist to ensure that product and design are optimum to achieve the highest price and a fast sale
- Inform and report to Management in a timely manner on all relevant aspects and information
- Booking car and equipment services and arranging insurance
- Assist with development to ensure the optimum outcomes for the business
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Recently completed bachelor’s degree in Property Economics and/or Construction Management with a desire to grow within the property industry or 1-2 year’s experience in the property industry looking to develop their knowledge and career;
- Must be a team player with a proactive approach to resolving issues and have strong attention to detail; and
- Driver's Licence and a vehicle.
