We have an exciting opportunity for a Development Engineer to join our Infrastructure and Operations team.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that all proposed, under construction and existing developments meets the standards specified by Litchfield Council, relevant NT Government, and relevant Australian standards and to provide technical advice on behalf of Council in planning and development matters.
Working alongside a small team in the Infrastructure, Assets and Operations department, this role promises a wide variety of work. In addition to assessing subdivision and developments within the municipality, you will also review stormwater drainage plans and driveway access plan as well as Works Permits for activities within Council road reserves. Knowledge of the NT Planning system is beneficial in providing support to the Planning and Development Program Leader as well as providing opportunity for growth within the Infrastructure team.
About You
Ideally, you will have a working knowledge of the Northern Territory Subdivision and Development guidelines. You will also have:
- Bachelor of Engineering (BEng, Civil) or other relevant Tertiary qualification
- Two (2) + years relevant experience in stormwater assessment, civil design, construction and/or subdivision development management OR;
- Relevant diploma or certificate level qualification with at least five (5) years of relevant experience in stormwater assessment, civil design, construction and/or subdivision development management.
