Dewatering Technicians @ ABBA Engineering
- Undertake dewatering duties in active mining environments.
- Install, maintain, and repair dewatering pipework and systems.
- Perform on-site and workshop repairs of pumping systems, diagnosing faults and implementing solutions.
- Use your expertise to build new pumping assets and extend the life of old pumps through expert rebuilds.
- Put your problem-solving skills to the test as you diagnose faults and implement effective solutions for pumping systems both on-site and in the workshop.
- Work closely with our procurement team to manage spare parts and ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and implement equipment upgrades and improvements.
- Conduct regular testing and calibration of pumps to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and respond promptly to emergency repair calls, keeping yourself, our team and our clients safe at all times.
What you need to have:
Qualification: Technical trade qualification in mechanical engineering.
Experience: 2-5 years of mechanical experience, preferably in pump systems.
Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, pump fault finding expertise, and meticulous attention to detail.
Licenses/Certifications: MR/HR Rigid Driver’s License, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces, and Construction Industry OHS White Card (desirable).
Clearance: National Police Clearance and satisfactory pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
