The Role 

The Specialist DFV Case manager’s role is responsible for providing services directly to women who are experiencing Domestic and/or Family Violence for the High Risk Team’s  actions. The HRT Case Manager will directly respond to HRT clients who are in crisis, providing immediate support to clients requiring risk assessment, safety intervention and planning as well as urgent referrals and supportive monitoring and follow up.  You will work collaboratively with team members, HRT core members and other organisations to develop appropriate and innovative responses to prevent violence within the Logan and/or Redlands community.   

Salary and Benefits 

  • SCHADS Level 5.1 ($47.50p/h) | Full-Time (38 Hours Per Week) | $93,860 annually 
  • Permanent contract funded until 30 June, 2030

  • Salary Packaging up to $15,900 (superannuation can be paid in addition to this, subject to any ATO limit if any).

Experience and Qualifications 

Qualifications 

Essential - Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or human services (alongside relevant experience) received from a recognised university. 

Preferred - Postgraduate qualification in counselling or social work.  

Experience 

Essential - Demonstrated experience and comprehensive knowledge of Domestic and Family Violence, and its effect on women, children and the wider community and demonstrated understanding of and experience working within current legislation (Domestic and Family Violence Act 2012).    

Preferred - Demonstrated experience and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
