Our Moulding department is now seeking an experienced Die Setter for a non-rotating Day Shift from Monday to Friday, 07:00 am - 3:06 pm.
What We're Seeking:
Our ideal candidate will bring robust experience in operating and troubleshooting Aoki injection stretch blow moulders, Nissei injection moulders, and SMC blow moulders. Core duties encompass:
- Skillful machine start-up and shutdown procedures
- Proficiency in preparing, installing, setting, and running injection stretch blow moulding and extrusion blow moulding machines
- Competence in mould changes and die insert adjustments
- Precision in optimizing machine controls for seamless production
- Effective troubleshooting on injection stretch blow moulding and extrusion blow moulding machines, materials, and dies
- Maintenance tasks on moulds, machines, and maintaining housekeeping standards, in collaboration with our Maintenance Fitter
- Swift response to breakdowns and ensuring product quality meets specifications
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement related to scheduling, cycle time, waste reduction, and maintaining OH&S standards
Your Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will bring:
- Over 2 years of experience in die-setting within the plastics industry, with a focus on injection and blow moulders or related work
- Proven hands-on expertise and in-depth knowledge of injection stretch blow moulding and extrusion blow moulding
- Strong understanding of polymer materials, including engineering polymers
- Exceptional troubleshooting, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills
- A keen eye for detail
- Self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
- Physical fitness for manual handling
- A forklift license is essential
